COVID-19 P.P.E. AND PROTOCOL

MSCC’S COVID-19 PREPAREDNESS PLAN & SAFETY PROTOCOL

All staff and students, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a face mask. At this time, clients are not required to wear masks but it is recommended. Any student or staff member that is not feeling well, showing any symptoms of Covid-19, or has knowingly been exposed will be asked to self-quarantine or receive a negative test result before returning. Clients will be asked to reschedule if they are experiencing any symptoms or if they have knowingly been exposed.

We will not at this time keep dogs longer than their appointment times. Once the pet is completed, the pet will wait in the clean dog area until pick-up. Once the client arrives, the same procedure will occur as at drop-off. They may pay with card that will be contact free or cash that will be placed in a tray and then set aside until able to disinfect.

In the grooming areas, students will work with only their own tools when possible and anything shared will be disinfected in between use. Instructors will assist from a safe distance and provide help when needed by either using aids to restrain the pet.

Smocks, nooses, leads, and masks will be washed at the end of each day. Hand sanitizer will be at every station for student and staff use. Separate hand sanitizer and pens will be offered for clients. Extensive cleaning will be done at lunch and the end of day to disinfect all workstations and tables. Each tabletop will also be disinfected in between dogs.

Staff will make every effort to answer questions by students or clients as to the steps we have taken to ensure everyone’s safety and adjust our protocol as new information becomes available
